Consulado de Colombia en Miami

This Passport is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Colombians in the local territory and at the Colombian Diplomatic Missions and Consulates abroad in exceptional cases, when the applicant requires this travel document immediately. The Passport has eight (8) pages and it shall be in force for seven (7) months. This pass may be requested simultaneously to the ordinary Passport with machine-readable zone.

Requirements:

• Personally fill the application at the issuing office or through electronic media.
• Personally submit the application at the offices indicated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• For persons of legal age, submit a valid original format of the Colombian I.D. Card.
• For under age applicants abroad, an authentic copy of the Registered Birth Certificate issued by the same registration office and/or the I.D. Card, if it exists.                     
• Previous passport, should it exist.
• Payment at the bank situated at the same office where the procedure is being carried out or through the electronic means established to that effect, according to the requested document.
• In case of loss or theft of the document, the holder must show the report presented before the relevant authorities, or fill an affidavit for this situation at the Colombian Consulates abroad.
• If any amendment was made to the applicant’s I.D. Card and the card has not yet been issued, a voucher for it and a copy of the registered birth certificate shall be shown with the relevant amendment.
• Should the applicant not present his/her original I.D. Card in its valid format, a voucher for the issuance of the card must be presented, the date of which should not exceed one (1) year
