To start your visa application in person at the Bogota office please have in mind the following:

1. Before starting your visa application make sure to check the different types of Visa and the requirements in the following link: http://www.cancilleria.gov.co/tramites_servicios/visas/clases.
2. When you’re clear about what kind of visa you will be applying for and have meet all the requirements, go to http://www.cancilleria.gov.co/tramites_servicios/visas/solicitud-visa-linea read the recommendations described in there and continue filling up the form. Within this link you will also find an option to attach your documents and your photograph.
3. Once you have completed the registration choose as liquidation office  "Coordinación Visas Bogotá"
4. The payment for 'Visa Study' should be made directly in the office once you have done the request procedure, if you make this payment by other means, your application will be processed as virtual and you will have to wait the response for the 'Visa Study' request in your email, within the terms of law (4 business days).
5. When you go to the office have in mind that you must bring with you the original documents even though they are already attached to your online application.
6. When you go to the office to finish the procedure, the  information registered by the user in the form will be confirmed as well as the documents.
7. If the visa is immediately approved, once you make the payment thereof, you may leave the premises with the visa stamped on your passport. Nevertheless, you have 15 calendar days to pay for your visa which can be done in the Visa Office (only cash and Colombian pesos), electronic payment through PSE or payment through a Servibanca ATM.

General Recommendations

Remember that if you want to finish this process in person, it does not require an appointment. You can go directly to the office at any time, Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 12.00 m.

In any case, remember that, when you go to the office to complete your visa application, the information recorded in the online form will be confirmed by the official who takes your application in office. If you have any problems, while doing it online, it is suggested to move along with the registration considering that this can be rectified and validated directly at the office.

Nevertheless, remember that you have the choice of carrying out the entire application online: do the same registration process and upload the picture and documents. Unlike the on-site application, you must make the 'Visa Study' payment immediately. In this case, you must keep in mind that you are subject to be call to an in person interview or to turn in more documents or supply more information.
