DEATH CERTIFICATE

The individual wishing to report the death of a Colombian abroad at the Civil Registry must request it at the Colombian Consulate of the circumscription where the death occurred.

Requirements:

·         Original death certificate issued by a foreign officer or entity in which the date of death, name and gender of the deceased are indicated.

·         Original identity card of the deceased and Colombian passport, if any, and photocopies of same.

·         Original identity card or Passport of the informant and photocopies of same. 

Fee: This service is free of charge; however, other Consular fees related to the issue of copies are payable.

Place where the service may be requested: At the Colombian Consulates abroad, during the business hours of each Consulate. These may found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Directory
