REQUESTING I.D. CARD FOR MINORS FOR THE FIRST TIME
Colombian individuals by birth or by adoption, over 7 and under 18 years old, residing abroad
and requiring issuance of the I.D. Card for the first time shall apply for it at any Consulate of
Colombia, through their parents or legal representative.
Requirements:
• Appear in person.
• Original copy of the Colombian Birth Certificate.
• Two (2) frontal photographs in color with white or blue background, size 2.5X3.0 cm.
• Blood certificate with type and RH factor
Fee: At no cost.
Place where the service may be requested: At the Colombian Consulates abroad; the
addresses of the Consulates are found in the webpage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
