The registry of an individual on the civil registry of births may be requested at a Consulate of Colombia abroad.
Requirements:
• Presence of the informant and/or person to be registered.
• Original of the Live Birth Certificate or the Civil Registration of the person to be registered. The Live Birth Certificate or the Civil Registration must have been issued at the place of birth.
• Identification of the parents: If they are Colombian, they must present the original Colombian ID Card and a photocopy on separate pages.
• If one of the parents is a citizen of another country, the current passport and a copy must be presented.
• Blood certificate with type and RH factor of the person to be registered.
Fee: This service is free of cost. However, other consular fees relating to the issuance of Registration copies must be paid.
