Qualitas of Life Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides basic financial education to Hispanic families in New York in order to foster their financial security and improve their standard of living.
We work in partnership with institutions located in highly impoverished areas of New York City as well as those located in more affluent areas that provide services to a comprehensive Hispanic audience. Our workshops use financial literacy as a tool of socioeconomic development by giving Hispanic families the necessary tools and knowledge to set earnest financial goals.
We offer courses throughout the five boroughs of New York City, during the day, evening, and on weekends.
Position Description:
The Financial Literacy Workshop Facilitator will implement Qualitas curriculum following the teaching guidelines that he/she will receive during our Train-the-Trainers session. The facilitator will participate in the promotional aspects of the workshops by assisting the Education Coordinator in the process of outreaching new and pre-registered participants.
Responsibilities:
Prepare teaching plan based on the Qualitas curriculum
Promote workshops in disadvantaged communities
Teach workshops (in community centers, schools, consulates, churches, etc.)
Prepare the classroom where workshops will be held
Gather pre & post workshop-data & evaluation
Create a sense of community in the classroom
Commit to:
o Take mandatory training (Train-the-Trainers)
o Participate in Professional Development Workshops throughout the year
Required Train-the-Trainers: Both days are required. This training is not paid.
Breakfast, Lunch and Snacks will be provided.

Our Train-the-Trainers provides facilitators with opportunities to receive a customized training that combines financial literacy, socioeconomic issues, and educational methodology tailored to the challenges of the Hispanic community. Key players from government, financial institutions, community-based organizations will serve as guest speakers providing facilitators with relevant information that is directly related to our family oriented financial literacy curriculum.
Hours:
Workshops are held during the day, evenings, and weekends. A strong preference will be given to candidates with a flexible schedule.

Location: 5 boroughs of New York City
Qualifications:
-Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken)
-BA/BS or in the process of obtaining
-MPA/MBA or in the process of obtaining a plus but no required.
-Ability to interact with people from different socioeconomic backgrounds.
-Aware of the needs and challenges facing the Hispanic community.
-Self-motivated and ability to work effectively on a team.
-Strong presentation, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
-Commitment and enthusiasm.
-Background in Economics, Finance, Social Work, Education and International Relations a plus.
-Experience in adult and K-12 education and/or teaching in the Hispanic community a plus.
