Recomendaciones de las autoridades de la ciudad de Houston sobre incendio industrial en 1700 Laverne
Houston, (may. 5/16). El Consulado de Colombia les recomienda seguir las indicaciones de la ciudad de Houston que se encuentra respondiendo a un incendio industrial masivo en 1700 Laverne, este incendio ha ocasionado que materiales peligrosos se hayan esparcido en el aire. El Departamento de Bomberos de Houston ha ordenado no salir de las casas en las siguientes áreas:
- Norte de Westview
- Oeste de Bingle
- Sur de Hammerly
- Este de Blalock
Residentes deberán quedarse en el lugar donde se encuentran y tomar las siguientes precauciones:
- Cerrar todas las ventanas y puertas.
- Apagar los sistemas de aire acondicionado o calefacción.
- Aislarse en una habitación y sellar la puerta con protectores de plástico y cinta sellante.
The City of Houston is responding to a massive industrial fire at 1700 Laverne, in west Houston that has released hazardous materials.
Due to the release of hazardous materials, the Houston Fire Department has ordered a Shelter-In-Place Order for the following area until further notice:
- North of Westview
- West of Bingle
- South of Hammerly
- East of Blalock
Residents should shelter in place by:
- Closing ALL windows, doors and exterior vents
- Turning off air conditioning and/or heating systems.
- Isolating yourself in an interior room. Try to seal the door to your shelter room with plastic sheeting and duct tape.
Residents should continue to monitor local media, houstontx.gov/emergency, and official social media outlets for updated information.
